Planning a 500–1000 Piece Private-Label Launch: Quantities, Packs and Costs
Separate the finished-product MOQ from packaging purchases, variant quantities and repeat-order planning before committing to your first range.

Start with a quantity per SKU, not a range total
A plan for 1,000 pieces needs to say whether that means one product or several variants. A cleanser in two fragrances and two pack sizes creates different purchasing and production requirements from one cleanser in one bottle. Put each proposed SKU on a separate line before requesting a quote.
Shaaira’s starting MOQ is 500–1000 pc per SKU, subject to the agreed formula, packaging and production scope. Treat this as the starting point for a discussion, not a guarantee that every custom pack or combination is available at that quantity.
- Product and variant name
- Pack size and finished quantity per SKU
- Preferred bottle, closure, label and outer carton
- Expected timing and delivery destination
Ask what the quotation includes
Compare quotations against the same written specification. A lower total may cover a different pack, testing scope, decoration method or delivery arrangement. Ask the supplier to identify the included components and any items that remain provisional.
Separate one-time development or artwork work from repeat-order costs. Ask who owns unused components, where they will be stored and how they can be used on a later order. Confirm these arrangements before paying for components; do not assume that leftover packaging is automatically included in the next batch.
- Sampling and development scope
- Formula, filling and packaging components
- Testing and documentation agreed for the order
- Freight, taxes and any excluded services
Keep the first range operationally simple
A focused launch makes it easier to compare customer feedback, manage inventory and identify the next product decision. Choose variants because they serve a clear customer need, rather than filling every possible category on day one.
Prepare a small reorder plan alongside the launch plan. Record who approves the formula, artwork and purchase order, and which changes require fresh review. For a repeat batch, refer to the approved specification and retained sample rather than relying on a photograph of the previous packaging.
Bring the open questions to the first conversation
You do not need a finished specification to contact the team. State what is decided, what is flexible and which decisions need help. A useful inquiry might request 500–1000 pieces of a single fragrance-free cleanser, identify the intended user and benchmark texture, and ask for suitable pack options. The final quantity, price and timeline follow technical and commercial review.
